The effect of Red LED Lights on Pot Catches in Penaah Waters, Lingga Riau Island

Pot fisheries are one of the dominant activities capture in Penaah waters Lingga, Riau Archipelago. This study aims to determine effect red LED lamp attractors on fish catches pots and identify species. was conducted Pena'ah Village, Senayang District, Lingga Regency, Islands, using an experimental method. Data were collected from 18 for days. There three treatments, namely pot without bait as a control, with LEDs light, light bait, which total six units each treatment. The caught groupers during study, nine individuals captured by five pot, four bait. effectiveness analysis showed that highest (50%), had value 28%, lowest trapped 22%. based economic adding attractor gave more types catch than control. is expected be solution increase pot.
